Standing at the edge of the Korcari Wilds

Allow me to be the first to welcome you to Ostagar. The Wardens will benefit greatly with you in their ranks.

A lot happened at Ostagar to say the least. As soon as she arrived she was appointed her first task - find another Grey Warden named Alistair and report back to Duncan. She also introduced herself to Daveth, who seemed all too happy to distract himself from his suspicions by focusing on the women around him. There was also Ser Jory who seemed pleasant enough, if a little lack luster. Finally she caught up with Alistair. After it was established she wasn't a mage, being a dwarf and all, he finally accepted to accompany her back to Duncan.

Tainted Blood

He informed them of their next task - to gather 3 vails of darkspawn blood and some treaties that were left in an old ruin the last time they were here. It made Veyla wonder what other Grey Wardens had to do in order to get passed the first few tasks appointed to them. Regardless she didn't say anything and accepted the task in hand, wanting to get this whole joining ritual over and done with.

Gathering the darkspawn was a harder task than anticipated. The Korcari Wilds seemed like a vast swampland that was as foggy as it was wet. However they had soon filled up the vails with the necessary dawkspawn blood and all that was left was the treaties. Searching deeper into the Wilds they soon came across the ruins Duncan spoke of. However upon closer inspection of the chest, the chest had clearly been forced open at some point and whatever was in it was now nowhere to be seen.....`

Merging Fandoms

One of my favourite things to do is to merge my various fandoms together. Wether it's putting characters from one thing into the world of another, or writing fanfiction which combines the two worlds and the characters meeting up etc etc. The other day I got bored and decided to try merging Dragon Age and Disney with "What if Disney did Dragon Age?" in mind. I immediately combined Ariel with Leliana. Purely because of the red hair... but also because of Ariels naive but brave nature. So I came up with this:

So then it left we wondering.... who else would I have play each others characters and so far I have come up with:

Companions

Alistair - Prince Phillip (Sleeping Beauty) - looks wise and both are princes with good hearts who ends up fighting a dragon of sorts.
Zevran - Jim Hawkins (Treasure Planet) - both rogue-types who didn't have the best childhood.
Morrigan - Vanessa (The Little Mermaid) - both are beautiful who are masters of sly manipulators who know powerful magic.
Sten - Wreck It Ralph - Both scary giants who deep down have good hearts and a soft side... but still have the capability of crushing you.
Wynne - Eglantine Price (Bedknobs and Broomsticks) - matriach type who knows magic and uses it for good. Also they both have a motherly/grandmotherly role as their characters.
Oghren - Grumpy (Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs) - because I couldn't think of any other dwarf which could be as impolite as Grumpy.
Shale - Terk (Tarzan) - Could both pound/kill you if they felt like it, and although do good, also have a mean side to them.
Isabella - Esmerelda (Hunchback of Notre Dame) - dark skinned, energetic, sassy, both have a good heart but both come from questionable backgrounds and aren't trusted by anyone except those who have gotten to know her and accept her.
Fenris - Beast (Beauty and the Beast) - both are reluctant for any social companionship and both have had some form of magic happen to them despite not being magical themselves (willingly or not).
Varric - Happy (Snow White & The Seven Dwarves) - no real connection between these other than the fact Varric is always making Jokes and Happy... well is always Happy.
Merril - Snow White - Both quite cute in their ways and both have short black hair. No other reason though.
Aveline - Merida (Brave) - Both fearsome and brave warriors famous for their red hair and freckles.
Anders - John Smith (Pocahontas) - simply just because of the blonde hair and both of their endings aren't necessarily good.
Sebastian - Robin Hood - Both 'outlaws' who are talented with a bow.
Dog - Stitch (Lilo and Stitch) - Because I always wanted Stitch as a dog.
Bethany - Violet Parr (The Incredibles) - Both are insecure of their abilties, but soon grow into their power and learn to accept it and control their fear rather than let it control them.
Carver - Eric (Little Mermaid) - just because of the black hair really... I could have gone with Aladdin, but feel Eric would be more of a warrior and Aladdin more of a rogue. I also thought of Li Shang as a possible merge.

Other

Sandal - Dopey (Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs) - both aren't exactly known for their intelligence, but both are sweet, kind and are the most memorable.
Bodan - Doc (Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs) - Fatherly figures who are wise but is often overlooked.
Cailan - Prince Charming/Henry (Cinderella) - both Royalty who married a girl who wasn't of a noble birthright or bloodline.
Anora - Cinderella - as stated above, both not from a noble birthright or bloodline... plus both blonde.
Loghain - Gaston (Beauty & The Beast) - mainly just because of the long dark hair.
Howe - Claude Frollo (Hunchback of Notre Dame) - both evil to the core... enough said.
Duncan - Cassim (Aladdin: Prince of Thieves) - just on looks really.
Flemeth - Maleficent (Sleeping Beauty) - Horns coming out of the head in some way, old and very powerful. Maybe considered beautiful... but in a scary way.
Meredith - The Evil Queen (Snow White) - honestly struggled to think of someone for Meredith... in the end went with The Evil Queen because like Meredith they both do some transformations and do evil deeds while transformed.
Orsino - Hades (Hercules) - can't think of any other Male who has a form of 'magic' and isn't exactly good either.
Cullen - Hercules - Mainly because of the strawberry blondeness of the two... Hercules is strong... Cullen would be too. And both have some form of magic quality in some way or another. :/

To be honest for the last three I struggled... XD Might change some of them if I think of better merges.

Not all of the casteless are criminals....We do what we can to survive.

So I started a new playthrough today with a 'Lets Play' style method to it. I created a Dwarven Common (Warrior) and for each major decision, and a few other things that might affect the overall game play experience, the decision relies on an unanimous vote. I will do this through a group I am a member of but I'll also submit the poll and it's winner here so anyone reading this can have an understanding how the story will develop.

Veyla Brosca

So to start of I should introduce you to our Dwarf. Her name is Veyla Brosca and although she has good intentions, she might not always go about them the right way. Trained in both Duel and Two Handed weaponry she is as strong as she is quick. She can be hot headed and selfish, but she will also defend and respect anyone who gives her the same courtesy. Above anyone else she values the relationship she has with her sister Rica, and although she won't admit it, she is grateful Leske was always there when she needed him most.

Her story begins like any other Castless - just trying to survive another day in Dust Town, under the employment of Orzammar crimelord Beraht. Some might call it bravery, others foolhardy when she decided to fight in the Proving. But everyone can agree that it was because of her victory, her life as a Grey Warden began....

Hello and welcome to my blog which, if you haven't of guessed yet, is inspired by Dragon Age.

Here I will submit anything that I say or do witch (get it... ok sorry) is Dragon Age related. It's just basically an outlet to let my inner Witch of the Wilds out and show my appreciation and love for Dragon Age. This is mainly or myself, but if you happen to stumble across this and enjoy anything I have to post, feel free to comment your own opinions and views on the game. I'm new to blogging and I have never really done anything like this before so please bare with me as I get the hang of it.
